The Designer: Kristin Fast

I grew up near Charlotte, North Carolina, then attended Furman University in South Carolina. In 2009, my husband, Shane, and I moved halfway across the country – from South Carolina to a town near St. Louis. Of course we miss the south, but we do love this area. We’ve started Rebirth: East St. Louis, a ministry serving youth and children in that town, and are exploring how we can best serve the Lord here. Adding to our fun - and work! - is our little girl, named Halle (from the word hallelujah). What a joy she is in our lives. Recently, little Owen came along, our second child. He is a sweet blessing as well!

My love for designing and making jewelry began after hearing one of my best friends talk about how much she enjoyed doing beadwork. Curious about the art, I started crafting earrings and necklaces with glass, wood, crystals, pearls, and gemstones, and Lydia Beaded Designs unexpectedly began!

I love jewelry of lots of different types, so the Lydia collection includes jewelry ranging from formal and elegant to funky and casual, and is sure to provide the perfect accessory for any occasion. Some pieces are simple and subtle – great for the workplace, while others are striking and bold – wonderful for a night out. Each selection is crafted with care and attention to detail in order to produce jewelry of supreme quality.
